Dell sent out a Windows 10 recovery disk for use on these computers. But when you go to load the disk, it loads, but to a screen with Reset this PC, Recover from a drive, or advanced options. When you choose Reset this PC, it errors because it can't find a partition. (this is a computer that I pulled straight from the box and tried to recover to a fresh copy of Windows 10 to build the image from.) When you choose Recover from a drive and you select keep nothing, it will go through it's recovery process, but once it finishes and reboots, you get the no bootable devices found. I can not seem to get windows 10 to load from the recovery media that dell sent out.
Is this the proper way to get a base build to start on the image for windows 10? Or is there an actual OEM disk that we could get from dell that loads like any other copy of windows?
I had issues using the Windows Media Creator tool to load a base build to build an image from. Everything weemed to work perfect, except that It would always pull the product key from the computer it was built on, and not the one it was being loaded on.
All the computers I have messed with during this whole process has had Windows 10 Pro licenses on them, so there shouldn't be any kind of a license issue.
